Nawazuddin Siddiqui will lead "Kabootar," a debut feature film from writer-director Ishan Sharma. The project marks Sharma's first feature after establishing himself in other formats.
Nikhil Chaudhary of MDC Filmworks produces the film, which operates as an international co-production. MDC Filmworks handles the Indian side, while Haiku Films participates from France and Rein Film from Norway. Rohit Saxena serves as co-producer on the Indian portion.
Siddiqui portrays a Delhi street detective in the film. The actor brings extensive credits across Indian cinema and international productions, making him a central draw for the international co-production structure.
The film's multi-country production team reflects growing collaboration between Indian filmmakers and European production companies. This partnership model allows for broader financing and distribution potential across territories.
