The Los Angeles Police Department arrested two suspects Thursday in connection with the murder of Christina Downer, whose brother is "Saturday Night Live" writer Jimmy Fowlie.
Delorean Bijon Brandon, Downer's 41-year-old boyfriend, and 34-year-old Los Angeles resident Kaylee Nicole Markowski face suspicion of murder, body disposal, and concealment of involvement. Bail was set at $2 million each.
Downer was reported missing on December 18, 2025, after her ex-husband requested a welfare check. Brandon initially told police she had moved out months earlier, leaving her vehicle, belongings, and dog behind. The Robbery-Homicide Division took over the investigation after Downer's cellphone washed up on Santa Monica Beach.
In late April, Fowlie posted on Instagram after the case was reclassified from missing persons to homicide. "Our prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayers for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable," he wrote.
Fowlie joined SNL during Season 48 and recently co-wrote the Netflix comedy "Roommates," starring Sadie Sandler and Chloe East. In December, he shared a missing persons poster that was amplified by SNL cast members including Sarah Sherman and Bowen Yang.
