A fan-made remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess called Dusklight HD is now available for download. The project, created by a user named TIREDnONFIRE on Gamebanana, upscales the original game's textures to 4K and optimizes performance. It runs on Windows, Android, and Switch.
Twilight Princess last appeared on Nintendo hardware in 2016 as a Wii U remaster. Since then, the game has remained absent from modern consoles despite Nintendo releasing remasters and ports of other Zelda titles. Skyward Sword received a Switch remaster, Wind Waker is playable through Nintendo Switch Online, and Ocarina of Time's remake launches next week.
Nintendo has not announced plans for an official re-release of Twilight Princess HD. Fans have requested a Switch port since at least 2017, with recent speculation focusing on a possible Switch 2 version.
The original Twilight Princess debuted as a Nintendo Wii launch title in November 2006, with a GameCube version following the next month. It featured a darker tone than its predecessor, Wind Waker, and became one of the top-selling games on the Wii.
